Yanick sat down with Gary Sappier, at the lead of the great Gary Sappier Blues Band for an interview during this year's Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival. Amazing talent from Tobique, New Brunswick, Gary is a gem in the blues scene not only in New Brunswick but abroad! Nominated for four ECMA nominations during his career, he has also performed internationally, including Dubai, The Netherlands and more!

This amazing PEI roots group is comprised of the following members:
Gordie MacKeeman (fiddle, acoustic guitar, feet percussion, vocals), Peter Cann (guitars, banjo, vocals), Thomas Webb (guitars, bass, banjo, steel guitar, vocals), and Jason Burbine (bass, percussion, guitar, vocals).

Reeny Smith

R&B, soul and gospel singer Reeny Smith dazzled the audience with her performance at the ECMA ceremony this year. The recipient of many awards and accolades, this young talented singer is from North Preston, Nova Scotia.

Erika Kulnys

A chance meeting while walking to the ECMA Awards ceremony led to a fun exchange with this warm and kind singer-songwriter.

Erika's music traverses many genres (Alternative, Americana, Folk, Indie, Pop, Pop-Rock, Roots, , Soul, World). One listen to her album on the drive back from the awards ceremony sealed the decision to return to Saint John the following day for an interview with this talented artist from Nova Scotia. Her background includes many awards and recognitions, including the 2015 Music Nova Scotia Inspirational Recording of the Year.

Blues Merchants

A blues band from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, the Blues Merchants is comprised of Ian Aker, (vocals, saxes, harp) Fred Lavery, (Bass, electric guitars) Bruce Timmins, (lead guitar) Brian"Moon" MacInnis, (Drums) and Mark MacQueen, (Keyboards).

Blues Merchants were nominated for Blues Recording of the Year at the 2017 ECMA awards. They had also been nominated in 2001.

The Matt Landry Band from Moncton, New Brunsick, is making waves on the Blues scene! Nominated in 2016 for Blues Recording of the Year, they also played during the Blues Showcase at this year's ECMA's in Saint John, New Brusnwick.

Furlong & Smith is an accoustic blues duo, consisting of Travis Furlong and DC Smith from the Moncton, New Brunswick area.

Their recording, "Blues You Can Use" was nominated for an ECMA for Blues Recording of the Year this year.
